About the studio

Larkfield Studio started in 2019 as a side project between a designer and a developer who kept being asked by friends to "just fix the website". It turned out to be most of what we enjoyed doing, so it became the whole job.

What we believe

A small business website has three jobs: say what you do, say where and when, and make it easy to get in touch. Everything else is optional. We would rather build a site that does those three things well than one that does thirty things badly.

How we work

Size

Two people, occasionally a photographer we trust.

Tools

Hand-written HTML and CSS, a small server we manage ourselves, and email.

Hours

Weekdays, 09:00 to 17:00. We answer email within one working day.

Pricing

Fixed quotes for projects, a flat monthly fee for care.
